Inquiries for Hall rentals can be made by calling the canteen to set up an appointment for walk through and contract signing. Walk ins for walk throughs and contract signings will only be available on Monday's from 4-6 p.m. and Sunday's from 12-4 p.m.  Phone number is 336-724-0660

This is the standard Hall Rental Contract. Prices to note are:

1: Rental Price is $125.00 per hour.

2: $400.00 Security Deposit is required to secure the date.

3: $150.00 Liquor License Fee.

4: $100.00 Canteen Fee if you will be utilizing our bar.

Set up for your event is only available during regular scheduled hours on the day of your event. There is a $25.00 per hour fee for any time outside of those hours that may be needed for set up. 

 

 

 

Hall Rental Agreement

 

Clyde Bolling Post Number 55, The American Legion, Department of North Carolina

 

(the “Landlord”)

(the “Tenant”)

(collectively the “Parties”)

 

IN CONSIDERATION OF the Landlord leasing the hall(s) to the Tenant and other valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which consideration is hereby acknowledged, the Parties agree as follows:

 

  1. LEASED PROPERTY

 

  1. Landlord agrees to rent the Tenant the Large and/or Small Hall.

  2. Maximum capacity (250) for the Large Hall and cannot be exceeded by the order of the Fire Marshall.

  3. No pets are to be kept at or around the hall except for service animals.

  4. Tenant is responsible for serving food and beverages to their guests in a manner according to the law. No food or beverage should be consumed in the parking lot.

  5. Tenant is responsible for obtaining any required licensing and posting it in an conspicuous place before serving alcohol.

  6. No person under 21 years of age will be served any form of alcoholic beverage.

  7. The hall is smoke-free. Tobacco use, including smokeless tobacco and “vaping”, is prohibited.

  8. Fireworks or pyrotechnics are prohibited inside, outside, and around the facility.

  1. Weapons of any kind are NOT permitted on the property for any reason.

  1. Tenant is responsible for the conduct of their guests.

  2. Except for typical wear and tear, the Tenant is liable for any damage to the facility, equipment, or property.

 

  1. TERM

 

The term of the Lease for the Large Hall commences at _________________ on (Date)____________________     and ends at _______________ on (Date)________________________________

 

 

  1. RENT

 

Tenant will pay $125 an hour for every hour the Hall is in use and not available to the American Legion.  If alcohol is to be served by the Tenant there must be a license to sell (copy provided to The American Legion) or the Tenant will pay $125 for use of The American Legion license.

 

 

  1. SECURITY DEPOSIT

 

On execution of this Lease, the Tenant will pay the Landlord a security deposit of $400.00 for the Large Hall (the “security deposit”).

 

The Landlord will return the Security Deposit at the end of this tenancy, less such deductions as provided in this Lease but no deduction will be made for damage due to reasonable wear and tear nor for any deduction prohibited by the applicable legislation of the State of North Carolina (the “Act”). During the Term of this Lease or after it’s termination, the Landlord may charge the Tenant or make deductions from the Security Deposit for any of the following:

 

  1. Decorations may only be hung with easy to remove tape. No nails, staples or permanent adhesives can be used to decorate the hall.

  2. No decorations are to be put on the ceiling fans.

  3. No spray crazy-string, confetti, or any type of glitter may be used.

  4. All remaining food must be removed or taken to the dumpster.

  5. No food is to be dumped in the sink.

  6. All pans used must be washed and put stored in their original location.

  7. Removal of all decorations.

  8. Bathrooms must be cleaned

  9. All trash taken to the trash dumpster.

  10. All bottles, cans, cardboard taken to the recyclable dumpster.

  11. Parking lot cleaned.

  12. Kitchen must be cleaned

 

Tenant will pay the Security Deposit before date is held. The Tenant will pay the the security (if requested) and the full Rent within three payments three days before the day agreed upon in the Term. Within the lessor of 14 days the Landlord will make available for pickup Security Deposit less any proper deductions.

 

 

  1. INSPECTION

 

A representative for the landlord working the night of the rental will set up mop buckets and cleaning supplies 1 hour before the end of the term.

 

The representative will complete an inspection of the hall before and after the Term.

 

  1. INSURANCE

 

The Tenant is hereby advised and understands that the hall of the Tenant is not insured by the Landlord for either damage or loss, and the Landlord assumes no liability for any such loss.

 

The Tenant is responsible for insuring the hall for liability insurance for the benefit of the Parties.

 

  1. MEDIATION AND ARBITRATION

 

If any dispute relating to this Lease between the Parties is not resolved through informal discussion   within 14 days from the date a dispute rises, the Parties agree to submit the issue first before non-binding mediator or arbitrator in the event that mediation fails. The decision of the arbitrator will be binding on the Parties. Any mediator or arbitrator must be a neutral party acceptable to both Parties. The cost of mediations or arbitrations will be paid by the Tenant.
